Designing the stories of the brands that inspire us
We partner with visionaries who see disruptions as natural twists in the storyline, people committed to meaningful change by asking “why” before calculating “how much.”
is a diverse collective of people and talent, focused on telling the stories of purpose-driven brands.
Because Purpose is greater than Product. So we gravitate to brands with purpose — ones looking to achieve connection and not just a transaction.
These shared values help us tell a brand’s story; smart collaboration lets us navigate the challenges of doing business better together.
How everyone benefits is something we tally on our balance sheet.
As creatives with a wide range of experience in entertainment, we take a storytelling approach to brand-building. The lights dimming in a movie theater, the opening bars of a theme song: these moments of anticipation are what we strive to replicate.
In our script, the brand is the story’s hero. Suspend your disbelief and we’ll supply the wonder.
Whether the plan is to design a box, or to break out of one, we establish brand identities in physical and digital spaces.

Hilario BangoCEO / Creative Director
Hilario was born and raised in Buenos Aires, where a rich mix of arts and culture inspired him to study Audiovisual Design. He continued to feed his creative side producing and directing for advertising, film, and television clients including Disney, Nickelodeon, and Coca-Cola.
In 2011 Hila moved to Boston where he joined Cue Ball Capital, an unconventional VC firm focused on purpose-driven brands. His experience with brand building, entrepreneurship and creativity propelled him to co-found Martian Arts, where he applies the art and power of storymaking and design to the firm’s initiatives and client campaigns.
In the belief that a brand’s evolution is like a hero’s journey, Hilario has helped founders identify their brand purpose and articulate their narratives, crafting everything from the visual expression of a brand’s identity to its content pillars. Since the founding of Martian Arts, Hila has worked as a creative advisor to brands such as TB12, MiniLuxe, Virgin Pulse, Tea Drops, Futuredontics (1-800-Dentist) and more.
Fascinated by the way a story can open minds and shape cultures, he makes use of that power each day at Martian Arts, and each evening telling bedtime stories to his sons.
Kai PetersManaging Director
Throughout Kai’s winding career path there has always been an underlying theme of helping teams be successful by bringing out the best in people. This began in sports as a collegiate athlete and continued in her professional endeavors as a producer, agent, project and account manager, digital marketer, and now, as the managing director of Martian Arts.
Kai has worked with a wide variety of brands such as Scholastic, Bank of America, Men’s Health Magazine, Target, ESPN, Kraft, and more. She joined Martian Arts in 2019 and became a full-time team member in 2020, focusing on expanding the agency’s reach and sharing the stories of many more inspiring brands.
When she’s not working with fellow Martians or clients, you’ll find Kai chasing after her very active, tiny ones (possibly with a glass of wine in hand), outside being sporty, or researching inspiration for her next massive “cheese table” (because “cheese boards” are just too small).
Sol TomiettoAccount Director
Sol began her career as an assistant director and production assistant in film before expanding into a wide range of production experiences, working behind the scenes on TV and advertising, and during events for brands such as Samsung, Microsoft, Nike, Adidas, BMW, American Express, among others. At the same time, she developed a career as a photographer and Photoshop artist.
Sol joined Martian Arts in 2016 and has been seeing projects to the finish line ever since.
Mariana OssoProduction Director
Marian began her career as an assistant director and went on to produce and project manage development projects for Cartoon Network and Disney Channel. An ardent fan of design in all its forms and expressions (including, but not limited to: interiors, apparel and cakes), she prefers to make things look simple and seductive.
Marian joined Martian Arts in 2016 and keeps the agency’s wheels moving by coordinating resources, managing project flow, and magically intuiting the artistic needs of each client. She also serves as Deputy Chair in Film Montage at the University of Buenos Aires, a position she’s held since 2005. Mariana, who fills each day like it’s 48 hours long, likes to start each morning sharing yerba mate.
Ignacio ScandizzoAssistant Director
When it comes to storytelling, Ignacio (aka Nacho) draws from his expertise as both a writer and filmmaker. He began his career at Fox Sports and has published a collection of short stories, and written scripts that have been recognized at international film festivals.
Before joining Martian Arts in 2012, Nacho’s appreciation for good design inspired him to explore a wide range of industries, from lifestyle accessories and consumer packaging to high-end facade production. His portfolio includes work for Formula 1, Toyota, Bridgestone, Samsung, Disney and Cartoon Network, as well as industry accolades for his Audiovisual Design accomplishments.
Always ready to share what he knows, Nacho also teaches Film Montage at the University of Buenos Aires, and Audiovisual Language at Iberoamerican University (UAI).

Flavia FernandezLead Designer
Graphic designer Flavia is a graduate of the University of Buenos Aires. She got her start while still in school, which gave her a taste of the possibilities design offers when it comes to creation, communication and transformation. In the 10 years since, she’s worked with brands such as Kimberly-Clark, Huawei, Wyndham, and Bayer, further exposing her to the range of opportunities and challenges in the field.
Flavia, who lives in northern Argentina, makes the most of the landscape that surrounds her drinking yerba mate and walking in the mountains. When she’s not hard at work at Martian Arts, she is answering to her three kittens.
Karen TestaSenior Graphic Designer
Senior Graphic Designer
Karen Testa remembers growing up surrounded by pencils, pens and brushes — tools that inspired her artistic sensibilities. She studied graphic design at the University of Buenos Aires but has also experimented with other media including photography, scenography, screen printing, and clothing design.
Karen started her career learning the ins and outs of printing, which taught her to see a project through from beginning to end. Experienced in branding, editorial, and web design, she worked with brands including Microsoft Latam, Santander, Ford, Edenor, and AA2000 before joining Martian Arts at its launch.
Karen enjoys nothing more than stretching outside of her comfort zone and learning something new. A vegetarian since she was 15, she likes to read, cook, and with her son, has been looking after the environment.
Juan M. FortinSenior Graphic Designer
Juan M. Fortin
A multidisciplinary thinker, Juan gravitates to the human stories and psychology that are a part of brand storytelling and appreciates how it exposes him to new things each day.
Juan worked as a graphic designer in a number of offices and agencies across Argentina on brands such as Natura, Volvo, American Express, Volkswagen, Nike and TNT before he officially teaming up with Martian Arts.
Juan, whose passions include animals and the sea, prefers to surf and cycle when he needs to get around.

She feeds her passion for design and illustration by walking around the city, absorbing the architecture, and going to museums… but what she loves most are music, plants and her cats.

Fernanda is in her final year at the University of Buenos Aires, where she is studying Image and Sound Design.
